Your patience is now rewarded…the promised table decor, replete with eggshells and a cornish hen under a bell jar. Nope, we didn’t eat it, but attendees were immediately curious just what they were in for, knowing that food was promised at the event only to be told not to dine off the buffet table.
So that you might get in on some of the action, below are a couple of the screening + small bites recipes that Chef Karen Ferries (The Cocktail Chef) was sweet enough to provide. Seriously, you guys are getting spoiled with the spilled secrets!
“The oregano salt blend is from recipe corner. I always try to make an online or other recipe my own by swapping out ingredients, changing the method, or both, but with the salt blend, I wouldn’t do anything differently and didn’t change a thing!”
As for recreating the flatbread (topped with thinly sliced vegetables inspired by the prevalence of knives in the clips), “The recipe I used takes two days for the dough to rest in the fridge. Frozen pizza dough would make a perfect substitution. Also, when I don’t have time to go to Buon Italia in the Chelsea Market, I use Italian-style by King Arthur Flour which can be found at Whole Foods. It’s a low protein “clone to Italian 00 flour.”
