Slowly but surely things are popping up in our East Coast gardens, but anxious to speed things up a bit, i.e. we’re ready to get our icy drinks on, we reached out to Talmadge Lowe of Pharmacie in city of envy inducing climes, Los Angeles. The dapper – and dashing – gentleman kindly sent over this fun concoction featuring our new found friend, cilantro.
|margarita botanica|| |
recipe type: cocktail
by: Pharmacie LA
- 1.5 oz white tequila
- 1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1.5 oz simple syrup
- handful of cilantro leaves
- Angostura Orange Bitters
- Combine all ingredients over ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously, for 20-30 seconds.
- Strain into a glass over fresh ice and garnish with a cilantro leaf. Then dash 2-3 drops of Angostura Orange Bitters.
I mean, who doesn’t think that margaritas are refreshing? The cilantro will release its flavors during the shake giving it an authentic herbal essence. Delicious! ~Talmadge Lowe
Cheers, Talmadge. In LA? Catch up with sometimes staying put, but often roving speakeasy Pharmacie…if you can!
